Description
Polycarbonate flame-retardant sheets are a type of polycarbonate plastic that has been specifically treated or manufactured to resist ignition or slow the spread of fire. These sheets offer the same advantages as standard polycarbonate, such as high impact resistance, optical clarity, and durability, but with the added benefit of improved fire safety.
- Flame Resistance-Polycarbonate flame-retardant sheets are designed to meet specific fire-resistance standards. The sheets are typically rated according to tests like UL 94 (Underwriters Laboratories) to indicate how resistant the material is to burning or igniting.
- Enhanced Safety –In applications where fire hazards are a concern, such as in construction, electrical equipment, or automotive industries, using flame-retardant polycarbonate sheets can help minimize the risk of fire spreading.
- Durability-Like standard polycarbonate, flame-retardant polycarbonate sheets are highly durable, offering excellent impact resistance, weatherability, and UV protection
